RECODA CEO Keynote Speaker during Sarawak Industrial Fiesta


24th April 2018: RECODA Chief Executive Officer, Datu Haji Ismawi Ismuni  was invited as a keynote speaker during this year’s Sarawak Industrial Fiesta (SIF) held at the Civic Centre here today.

The Sarawak Industrial Fiesta (SIF) 2018, touted as Borneo’s largest industrial and technology conference and exhibition, was officiated by Assistant Minister of Education, Science and Technological Research Sarawak Dr Annuar Rapaee and lured 250 delegates from around the world.

During his keynote address, Datu Haji Ismawi elaborated on the opportunities available in Sarawak created by the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) and noted that the industrial sector in Sarawak has played a key part in Sarawak’s development.

Other speakers during the event included Ministry of Modernisation of Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development permanent secretary Datu Ik Pahon Joyik, MLNG chief executive officer Pau Kiew Huai and HIMA Consulting Asia-Pacific senior consultant (functional safety and safety instrumented systems) Sujith Panikkar.

Invited key speakers are scheduled to share points related to information, experiences and opinions on current issues related to Industry 4.0, sustainable energy and Sarawak digital technology.​

Fiesta NBOS 2018 (Sarikei)


13th – 15th April 2018: The Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) joined the inaugural National Blue Ocean Strategy Festival (Fiesta NBOS) at Sarikei recently.

The event,jointly organised by the Ministry of Finance and the State Government was officiated by the Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg and the Secretary General of Treasury Malaysia, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.
The event showcased the various services and programmes undertaken under the NBOS initiatives by the government that was meant to improve the livelihood of the people.Among those were, ‘connecting the unconnected’ those in rural areas with an alternative electricity supply, and the mobile community transformation centre (Mobile CTC).RECODA took the chance to update the public on the current updates on the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) with positive feedback from the public on its current development.
