International Energy Week 2018

23rd – 25th January 2018: The 4th International Energy Week closed recently. Holding the event in Sarawak gave RECODA a high profile opportunity to update the public and international delegates on the progress of development and investment in SCORE.

And RECODA took the opportunity to provide extensive information on curent and potential investors, infrastructure developments, financial developments, strategic plans for the region and much more.

And to cap an excellent event, RECODA’s booth was awarded ‘Most informative booth 2018’. CEO of RECODA, Datu Haji Ismawi bin Haji Ismuni received the award and also moderated the forum discussion on the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy.

Participants in the forum session included the Group Chief Executive Officer of Press Metal Bhd, Tan Sri Dato’ Koon Poh Keong, OCIM Sdn Bhd Vice President, Mr Kim Taek Joong, General Manager of Sakura Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd, Mr Chris Rowe and a representative from Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA).

The bi-annual International Energy Week is now considered the largest energy themed conference in Malaysia and attracted a wide cross section of businesses from all over the world.

RECODA was a platinum sponsor for this year’s International Energy Week.

 

New Straits Times Press CEO pays courtesy call to RECODA CEO

16 January 2018, KUCHING: The New Straits Times Press (NSTP) CEO, Datuk Abdul Jalil Hamid paid a courtesy visit to RECODA’s new CEO, Datu Hj Ismawi Ismuni today at his office in LCDA tower in Kuching.

Datuk Abdul Jalil was accompanied by NSTP’s Editor in Chief, Datuk Yushaimi Yahya, NSTP’s Chief Commercial Officer Alfian Abu Talip and Media Prima’s Group General Manager Nicholas Sagau Tony Ngimat.

After a dialogue on the plans for Sarawak SCORE and the role of the media today, the delegation from NSTP and Media Prima presented Datu Ismawi with a copy of the Berita Harian 60th Anniversary book that charts the evolution of the country’s leading Bahasa Melayu newspaper from its launch in 1957 to the present day and the newspaper’s position at the forefront of the adoption of digital and technology to meet the needs and changing habits of readers.
