RECODA CEO Baleh site visit

RECODA Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot went for a site visit on RECODA’s RM1.4 Billion Baleh Road project.

The CEO was joined by his Head of Project unit Mr Dawend Jiwan, Environmental Officer Mr Paul Ponar Sinjeng and his Engineer Mohd Safri Ibrahim.

The visit enabled Tan Sri to understand the going ons of the project at the ground level while also allows him to fully soak in the current physical status of the massive project.

The project will be implemented at an approved cost of RM1.4 billion. Expected to be fully completed by the end of 2019, the infrastructure is crucial for the construction of the 1,285MW Baleh hydroelectric dam that is expected to begin this year and operational in 2024.

Apart from accelerating the development of the state’s energy sector, the 73km road project by RECODA is set to open up new areas of economic activities in the region for agriculture and commercial forestry which would help to create job and business opportunities for the local communities.

Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd (HLIB) Visit to RECODA

Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd paid a visit to RECODA’s office on Friday March 3rd 2017 led by their Head of Dealing, Senior Vice President Zunaidah Idris.

RECODA’s Cheif Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot briefed the delegation on the progress of SCORE and updated them on the projects that are currently being undertaken.

German Ambassador pays courtesy visit to RECODA

The German Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Ambassador Holger Michael paid a visit to RECODA today in an effort to understand SCORE better.

RECODA Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot together with his management team welcomed the Ambassador and brief him on matters regarding the develoment of the Corridor.

His Excellency was notably impressed with the SCORE project noting that he would like to see more German companies in the SCORE area in the future.

Courtesy visit to the Right Honourable Chief Minister of Sarawak by the CEO of RECODA

RECODA paid a visit to the new Chief Minister of Sarawak the Right Honorable Datuk Amar Abang Johari bin Tun Abang Haji Openg led by RECODA’s Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot.

The purpose of the visit was to pay respects to the new Chief Minister who was appointed as the sixth Chief Minister of Sarawak on the 13th January 2017. The visit was also to present an overview of RECODA’s current activities and to seek new direction from the Chief Minister.

Other notable mentions during the visit included the State Secretary of Sarawak, the Honorable State Secretary of Sarawak, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohd Morshidi bin Abdul Ghani.

Courtesy visit by US Embassy’s Economic Division

Sona Ramesh and Sallamah Dalib of the US Embassy Economic Division paid a courtesy visit to the CEO of RECODA to gain further understanding regarding the development of the SCORE project.

Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot, RECODA’s CEO explained the multifaceted nature of the development of Sarawak and SCORE. He highlighted the importance of the SCORE project to the people of Sarawak and that the state is “still hungry for more development”.

RECODA graced Linde’s earth breaking ceremony for its new RM 33 million (EUR 7.4 million) air separation unit in East Malaysia

RECODA was among the invited guests for Linde EOX Sdn Bhd (Linde) earth breaking ceremony for its RM 33 million (EUR 7.4 million) new air separation unit (ASU) in Tanjung Kidurong.

Mr Boon Kuet San, the Head of Administration, Human Resource, Finance and Accounts for RECODA was representing RECODA’s CEO Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot for the event.

The new plant, when combined with its existing ASU in Kuching, will increase the company’s production capacity by approximately 33 tonnes per day of liquefied gases.

Linde first announced its investment in this new plant in April 2016 and the plant is due to come on stream by end 2017.

When completed, the new ASU will provide liquefied gases supply and related solutions to serve engineering, construction, healthcare, chemical, metal processing, oil and gas industries in East Malaysia.

“With the initiatives driven by SCORE and RECODA Linde is upbeat about the market growth in East Malaysia. Since the introduction of SCORE, we have seen a substantial in flow of global and domestic investment in Sarawak.

“We are committed to strengthen our supply capabilities and service offerings to better serve our existing and new customers and will continue to explore opportunities for us to invest strategically expanding our footprint here in East Malaysia.”
