UK Education and Training Trade mission sent a delegation to visit RECODA to gain a better understanding of SCORE and ongoing developments in SCORE and introduce their professional development programmes. The mission offers a wide range of technical vocational education and training which can be beneficial to SCORE and SCORE investors that require skilled technical workers.
The delegation was led by by Mr Siva Somasundram, Senior Trade Manager, Education and Training. The delegates were briefed by RECODA’s CEO, Tan Sri Wilson Baya Dandot on the various projects within SCORE, existing and future infrastructure and the potential of SCORE going forward.

Other delegates included Fiona Louis, Assistant Trade Manager, Education & Training, Husna Hashim, Trade & Prosperity Manager, Education & Training, Amanda Selvaratnam, Head of Executive Education & Training Gateway, Jay Acharya, Aspire Consulting & Training, Jenny Yeoh, Cambridge House Consultancy, David Collins, Chapel House Consultancy, Alexander Underwood, Edinburgh College, Ben Porter, Reallyenglish Ltd, Shirin Pang, Scottish Development International, Fiona Dunlop, Wimbledon School of English, Prof Nick Bennett, University of Portsmouth, Pat McGuire, Knowledge Transmission and Sarah Stables from the University of Cumbria.
Besides RECODA, the mission was welcomed by representatives from the Sarawak Government agencies that work closely with RECODA on SCORE projects. They included Encik Lester Mathew, State Planning Unit, Puan Cassie Tong, Ministry of Industrial Development, Puan Connie Christopher Kesa, Ministry of Tourism Sarawak & Dr Abdul Rahman Deen, Director of the Workforce Development Unit.
