Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak officiated the Limbang leg of the Sejiwa Senada programme (SJSN 2016) at Limbang Sports Complex on 2nd April.
The prime minister was accompanied by the Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Adenan Bin Haji Satem and his wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Jamilah Anu, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu, Minister of Housing and Tourism Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg, State Secretary of Sarawak Tan Sri Datuk Amar Morshidi Abdul Ghani and Dewan Undangan Negeri  Sarawak speaker Datuk Amar Mohammad Asfia Awang Nasar.
RECODA was once again a high profile exhibitor amongst the 155 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private companies, government-linked companies (GLCs), government departments and federal and state agencies who participated in the three-day programme held from 1st to 3rd April.
The Limbang leg of Sejiwa Senada 2016 is the seventh stage of this extensive programme that began back in January in Miri. It is an ambitious initiative aimed at reaching out to and engaging multiple communities and strengthening government relations with citizens through interactive exhibitions and sales, seminars, lectures, folk dancing and traditional sports competitions, cooking demonstrations and performances by popular artists.
There was also a variety of interactive activities and sweepstakes during the course of the event with a Perodua Axia offered as the grand prize. To date, around 100,000 people have interacted with the programme, making it one of the most successful outreach programmes to date.
During his visit to the north of the state, the Prime Minister took the opportunity to schedule a working visit to Miri on 1st and 2nd of April to attend a meet-the-people session, open the housing projects Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (NHC) Vista Premium and the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC).
