Score Areas

The Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) covers more than 70,000 square kilometers of the central region of Sarawak, an area that offers many exciting opportunities and abundant natural resources.

It is blessed with a thousand-kilometre coastline, enormous oil and gas reserves, huge hydropower potential and vast areas of agricultural land and tropical rainforest.

SCORE takes in most of the west-facing coast of Sarawak, stretching from Tanjung Manis, at the mouth of the Rajang River, north and east to Samalaju, by way of Mukah and the major gas and oil port of Bintulu. Inland, it reaches up into the highlands beyond Baram and Tunoh.
