The RECODA office, which was established in 2009, is the secretariat to the RECODA Board of Directors. Prior to the setting up of this office, the State Planning Unit in the Chief Minister’s Department was the secretariat to the Board, since early 2008, when SCORE was launched.
Among the top priorities for RECODA is to coordinate, liaise, monitor, facilitate or oversee the implementation or execution of public (Federal) funded infrastructure projects approved by the State Planning Authority or any other government agency within the growth nodes of SCORE.
The roles of RECODA are defined by the Regional Corridors Development Authorities Ordinance, 2006 that was passed by the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly on 11 December 2006.
